Stephen Keshi exits the National team due to NFF actions

The Nigerian Super eagles head coach Stephen Keshi resigned yesterday, Monday 11th February 2013 just a day after winning the AFCON 2013 trophy.

He resigned due to the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) actions not having the trust in him leading the team. According to a formal official of the team, NFF  booked flights to return the team home after being drawn with Cote d'Ivoire in the quarter-finals.

Reports also suggested the NFF attempted to sack Keshi prior to their quarter-final clash with the Elephants and had interviewed several European candidates to take his place.

While the nation rejoices for this success brought to the country, the Globacom Boss Dr. Mike Adenuga jr. (GCON)  has rewarded the team with a sum of $1 Million and the head coach $200,000. He also promised to take over the payment of Keshi's salary from next month.

However the head coach Keshi has resigned.
